Story Oly

Amy Shephard is the producer and co-founder of StoryOly: Olympia’s Premiere Story Slam Event. Amy, a long time podcast devotee, found particular joy in storytelling podcasts such as The Moth, Snap Judgment, and Risk!. Inspired by these podcasts in November of 2015, Amy and Elizabeth Lord founded StoryOly which, since it’s inception, has grown in popularity and community engagement. At StoryOly, community members come together every month to share, compete and tell true stories based on a monthly theme. StoryOly aims to encourage and develop community engagement and connection through the medium of storytelling. Amy also can be found working as an actor, choreographer, playwright and theater educator all over the pacific northwest.
